Exam
An exam provides the foundation for a healthy smile. During the exam Dr. Beck and Dr. Zitterkopf look for signs of gum disease, decay, tooth cracks, chipped teeth, tooth mobility, oral cancer and more.

Dental Fillings & Tooth Extraction
Our goal is to preserve your natural teeth. Filling a cavity is one way to prevent further decay and save a tooth. Dental fillings are made of a variety of materials including silver amalgam, composite, porcelain and gold. Amalgam fillings have been used by dentists for more than a century and remain the most cost-effective; however, composite fillings are the preferred dental filling due to their natural appearance and durability. A tooth extraction occurs if decay is too advanced for a dental filling.

Endodontics (Root Canal)
Endodontics is the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of dental pulp, which is necessary when the pulp becomes inflamed or infected. If pulp inflammation or infection is left untreated, it can cause pain or lead to an abscess. During root canal or endodontic treatment, the infected pulp is removed and the inside of the tooth is cleaned and disinfected, then filled and sealed. The tooth is restored with a crown or filling for protection.
